Sluban recently received new sets. Because of this, all kinds of (sub) themes have been expanded. A new sub-theme has been added to the Army theme which is called: The Battle of Budapest.
The Battle of Budapest was a battle at the end of the second World War for the capital of Hungary, Budapest. Russian troops surrounded the Hungarian city on December 29, 1944. Budapest was defended by the German and Hungarian army but after 50 days, on February 13, the city surrendered. This victory was a strategic victory for the allies, who were now able to move towards Berlin.
Sluban recreated this battle from the second world war by means of seven sturdy sets. The set with the most building bricks is a large German tank that can be built in two ways, this set is made out of no less than 930 building bricks. A cool set for the real enthusiast. In addition to this German tank there is also a cool Russian tank with white camouflage colors, so that it is less visible in the snow. There are 2 other tanks called the 'Heavy Tank' and the 'Tank Destroyer'. The four tanks all differ in size and colors.
Besides the 4 tanks, there are also 3 other sets that belong to this sub-theme. There is a cool fighter aircraft which consists of 338 building bricks. There is also a set called Russian missile guns', this set contains a Russian missile which is placed on an army car. Finally, there is Sluban set about a large bridge, this bridge consists of 769 bricks and can deliver lots of playing fun! Check out all the cool sets below!
